Establish an energy community
Energy communities are associations that jointly generate, store and use renewable energy.

Types of energy communities

Renewable Energy Communities
Generate, store and use locally renewable energy such as wind or solar power in an operator's grid area (grid levels 5—7). The focus is on joint use rather than profit maximization — with direct economic benefits for members.

Citizen Energy Communities
They have similar tasks as EEGs, but are open to technology. They generate, store and use electricity from various sources - even across grid areas. This eliminates benefits such as reduced network charges.
To participate, you need a suitable area or existing PV system as well as the ability to generate and use electricity locally. Legal and organizational frameworks must be taken into account.
Energy communities make them more independent of energy providers and protect against price fluctuations. Members benefit from lower electricity prices, but must also plan for organizational effort and investments.

Fit for the future with an energy community
Do you have a PV system and would like to establish an energy community - perhaps together with your neighbors? We would be happy to advise you on the next steps.
